Botox

This procedure relies on injections of botulinum toxin into the muscles of the face that are responsible for squinting and frowning. By rendering these muscles inactive, there will be a softening or in some cases elimination of the wrinkles along the forehead, between the eyebrows and at the outer corners of the eyes. (“crow’s feet”) The results take effect about 48 hours after the injection and last between 3-4 months. At that time, the Botox injections can be repeated.

Dermal Fillers

Several injectable dermal fillers are now available to correct mild to moderate facial wrinkles, such as the nasolabial folds extending from the nostril downward toward the lips. These same substances can be used for lip augmentation. These injections are most often done using a local anesthesia block to minimize patient discomfort during the procedure. There can be some bruising and swelling for a few days following the injections, but camouflage make up can be worn during this time. The results typically last 4-6 months.

Latisse

Latisse, the FDA Approved treatment for hypotrichosis. This is a prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them look longer, thicker and darker. Candela Gentle Yag Laser

Candela Gentle Yag Laser is used for the removal of hair, treatment of spider veins on legs and face, skin tightening treatments and beard bumps (PFB). How does the laser treatment work? The laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deeply into skin tissue, where it dellivers a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat. Candela's patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) technology protects the upper layers of your skin with a cooling burst of cryogen. Together, the long-pulse laser and DCD cooling offer optimal treatment with minimal side effects.

  • Before any laser treatment you want to stay out of the sun or tanning beds for 14 days before and after a treatment to avoid hyper or hypopigmenting of the skin, this includes the use of self-tanners. Use a sunblock (SPF30 or above) while undergoing treatments.
  • For hair removal, you will only need to shave the unwanted hair for 6 weeks prior to laser treatment--meaning NO waxing, plucking, electrolysis, bleaching or hair removal creams before and during treatments.
  • Treatment of spider veins. Come in with clean skin and no make-up if the veins are on the face. In some instances, if patient has lots of spider veins they may request to treat in multiple sessions.
  • Skin Tightening is usually on the face. The thermal heat causes the natural collagen and elastin fibers to plumb up under the skin to improve the appearance of loose skin. However, this does NOT replace the need for face lifts. Your treatments will be every 4 weeks for 6 months to achieve the laticity you desire.
